At Free-diving School
Enzo Maiorca, one of the
fathers of modern free-diving, will be
among those featured in a program at
the Auditorium della Festa, who will
tell 150 years of sea stories.
Maiorca
will be speaking on the second
evening, dedicated to the theme,
“Tradition and Technology at Sea”.
The free-diver from Siracusa in Sicily,
who has held the world record many
times, has also known how to mix
tradition and innovation. He has been
the recipient of many awards.
In
1964, he received the Gold Medal for
Athletic Value from the President of
Italy, then the Trident of Gold from
Ustica, and the Star of Gold for sports
merit from the Italian Sports
Association, Coni.
He has also written
books, including “A scuola di apnea”.
