The "twinning" with Venezia

The festival will seal the “twinning” of La Spezia and Venice, two cities which have a great sea-faring tradition.
The presence of Venice, with her unique history, makes the event and its program even more precious. Among the activities that are offered by Venetian associations is a photography show of vele al terzo, the live construction of Venetian oarlocks, and the presentation of an extinct model called the “Vipera” (similar to the gondola) reconstructed just for the Festa della Marineria.
On show in La Spezia will be the oldest gondola in Venice, dating to the 1700s, which, for the occasion, will be brought from its home in Arzanà. An authentic gem for fans and visitors
